Suicide Prevention
Our goal is to be proactive and prevent suicide by helping to heal their mental anguish before suicide becomes their “go-to-option”.
We Are Veterans, Too!
That is why we have named our foundation VETS4VETS FOUNDATION.
We are heartbroken to continue losing our brothers and sisters in arms.
It is past time to take action.
It’s Even Worse In Alabama
In Alabama, the Veteran suicide rate is even higher than the national Veteran average and significantly higher than the national civilian average. The most recently released data shows nearly 18% of those who died by suicide in Alabama are Veterans, though only 9.1% of Alabamians have served
ABOUT US
The irony of suicide prevention is that some people attach a stigma to asking for help. Our mental health professionals and volunteers can dramatically make a lasting and life-saving impact when they have an opportunity to intervene.
As our center develops and expands you can play a vital part helping the Veterans who served for you.
Vet Activities Lead To Health
Equestrian therapy, paintball exercises, camping and hiking or fishing and hunting all provide ways to be with other veterans in safe settings.
